On May 11, 2018, Shangmingxuan Tea Company invested in and built the old factory buildings, old equipment and old tea gardens of the former state-owned and state-run Red Star Tea Farm. The total construction area is about 4,000 square meters. The first black tea museum in Guangdong, Shangmingxuan Black Tea Museum, was officially opened to the public. The museum is divided into nine exhibition halls, including the “Tea Sequence Hall”, “Tea History Hall”, “Tea Processing Equipment Exhibition Hall”, “World Tea Culture Hall”, “Yingde Tea Culture Hall”, “Shangmingxuan Culture Hall”, “Multimedia Hall”, “Product Display Hall” and “Tea Making Experience Area”, showing the world the development of the profound Chinese tea culture and the world black tea culture.
