Keemun Black Tea
The origin of Keemun Black Tea, also known as Qihong, can be traced back to the Guangxu period, when it was created by local tea growers who selected the chinkapin leaf tea tree, known as the Keemun tea tree.
Keemun black tea is produced in Keemun, Dongzhi, Guizhi, Shitai and Yixian counties in Anhui Province, and is also widely grown in the Fuliang area of Jiangxi Province. The special climate and soil of this region, as well as the local tea trees, are the key to the unique flavour of Keemun black tea.
Keemun Black Tea is not only highly regarded in China, but has also made a name for itself on the international stage. Rumoured to be the favourite drink of the Queen of England and the Royal Family, it has been described as "the most fragrant of all" and "the queen of black teas". The broth of Keemun Black Tea is bright red and exudes an elegant and pure aroma, combining a strong floral flavour with a unique honey aroma, making Keemun Black Tea famous far and wide.
