Chuanhong black tea is produced in Yibin and other places in Sichuan Province, was born in the 1950s, with its tight, round and straight lines, golden hairs, dark colour, as well as the quality of high fragrance and strong taste, sells well in the international market, and has become one of the representatives of China's high-quality Wu Fu black tea.

The production technique of Chuanhong Black Tea was included in the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Sichuan Province in 2014. The production area is in the Yibin area, the tea plantations are on high ground, the tea trees germinate early and can be marketed in April. It has been highly praised by the international community for its early, tender, fast and good characteristics and outstanding quality.
